CAMDEN – The fourth annual Ragged Mountain Scuttle, presented by Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital, will take place Sunday, Sept 24. The scuttle has been designed as a family-friendly event for all ages and features 20 obstacles on a 5K loop on the Ragged Mountain trails. The event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit One Community Many Voices, with a portion of proceeds also benefiting the Camden Snow Bowl’s fourth-grade learn-to-ski program, serving children in Knox county.
Participants can sign-up as individuals or a team with four or more runners. Up to 10 people can be on a team. For a suggested $5 donation on event day, children may tackle a small children-friendly obstacle course at the base of the mountain. Ryan Howes of Belfast, who most recently competed on the 2017 season of American Ninja Warrior, will be on hand at the children’s course to talk to children and do the course with them once he completes his Scuttle run.
