Camp Sunshine concert to benefit the organization

RUMFORD – A concert to benefit Camp Sunshine will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Rumford Auditorium on Congress Street. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Tickets will be on sale beginning Monday, Aug. 28, at various locations in Rumford and by calling 207-364-9530. Tickets will also be sold at the door. This event includes a 50/50 drawing, tickets for chances to win a twin-size quilt, and a bake sale. All proceeds will benefit Camp Sunshine.

Camp Sunshine provides respite, support, joy, and hope to children with life-threatening illnesses and their immediate families from around the world through the various stages of their journeys. The year-round program is free of charge to all families, and includes 24-hour onsite medical and psycho-social support. Camp Sunshine also provides bereavement sessions for families who have lost a child to supported illnesses.
