MEXICO — State Rep. Dick Pickett of Dixfield presented a legislative sentiment to Eagle Scout Jesse Pelletier, the son of Kelly and Thomas Pelletier, at their home Aug. 13. Jesse earned 21 merit badges and built picnic tables for the Mexico Recreation Department for his Eagle Scout service project. During his Eagle speech, he said, “Scouting has taught me a lot. It gave me leadership skills I wouldn’t have gotten otherwise.”
During the ceremony, Jesse was also lauded by members of Troop 580, Pine Tree Council; Mexico selectmen; and representatives from the local Eagles Club, Marine Corps League and from a representative of U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, who attended and is also an Eagle. Scout.
