Lithgow Library will hold session on tree disorders

AUGUSTA — A session on diagnosing disorders in trees and forest pathology will be presented at Lithgow Public Library, Saturday, March 9.

Aaron Bergdahl, of the Maine Mycological Society, will speak at 10:30 a.m. at the library, at 45 Winthrop St.
The talk is free and open to the public.
Bergdahl, a forest pathologist for the Maine Forest Service, will discuss how trees get sick, too. Viruses, bacteria and fungi cause a wide range of symptoms that have an impact on the appearance and productivity of trees. In severe cases this causes decline and death.
