Hathaway Mill summer antiques show features food, raffle, more July 28, 29

WATERVILLE — Hathaway Mill Antiques is sponsoring a free two-day antiques show, that will also feature food, craft beer and the best the former Hathaway Shirt Factory mill has to offer.
The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 2 and 29, at the Hathaway Creative Center, 10 Water St.

Local authors to be part of Day’s Store 60th Birthday gala July 21

BELGRADE — Local authors Maureen Milliken, Earl Smith and Kate Cone will sell and sign their books as part of the festivities at Day’s Store 60th Birthday Party Saturday, July 21.
The book table will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the overall celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

1920-2018

WATERVILLE — Elizabeth C. Quinn, 97, of Skowhegan, died peacefully on July 6, at Mt. St. Joseph’s hospital in Waterville.
She was born in Skowhegan Nov. 22, 1920, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Blanchette) Beauford, and was raised in her family’s home on North Avenue by her older sister, Mrs. Louis (Marie) LaFratta, following her parents’ passing.

She was born Dec. 4, 1936, in Winslow, the daughter of Herman Bragg and Pauline Prentiss Thompson.

Central Maine DNA Interest Group will hold summer meetings in Sidney

SIDNEY — The Sidney Historical Society will host the Central Maine DIG meetings Saturday, July 21, and Saturday, Aug. 18, in the basement of the Sidney Grange, 2986 Middle Road.
A DIG, or DNA Interest Group, meets to discuss DNA testing, how to use it to uncover their ancestry, and expand their family trees.
