Tri-Country Mental Health Services welcomes new directors

LEWISTON — Tri-County Mental Health Services recently announced the appointment of Julie Olum as director of fiscal operations and Jesi Michaud as director of clinical services.

TCMHS, partners increase effort to tackle region’s opioid crisis

LEWISTON — Tri-County Mental Health Services and its partners are forming a plan to address issues surrounding the opioid crisis in the region, and hosted Community Partners Engaging in Community Conversation at Lewiston Middle School on June 28 to discuss the issues and solutions.
The forum was a conversation around the growing opioid crisis, its impact on individuals, families, and communities, and how, by working together, the challenge can be met in part by increased availability of medication-assisted treatment for those who are struggling with opioid use disorder.

Androscoggin County students named to UMaine dean’s list

ORONO — A number of Androscoggin County students made the University of Maine dean’s list for the spring semester.
The university recognized 2,214 students for achieving dean’s list honors, of whom 1,634 are from Maine, 533 are from 31 other states and 47 are from 21 countries other than the U.S.

Lewiston Girl Scout’s project supports Safe Voices

Megan Allen, left, of Girl Scout Troop 2470 in Lewiston gathered donations for Safe Voices, the local domestic violence resource center.
