Tri-Country Mental Health Services welcomes new directors

LEWISTON — Tri-County Mental Health Services recently announced the appointment of Julie Olum as director of fiscal operations and Jesi Michaud as director of clinical services.

Olum joins TCMHS as an accomplished nonprofit accounting professional with more than 30 years of accounting experience.
Olum worked most recently as the director of finance for Spectrum Generations, where she established a successful track record of leading the agency’s finances. She was also assistant controller for Maine Veterans Homes and as a business manager for the Maine Community College System. She is a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta and received a master’s degree in business administration from Thomas College in Waterville.

Michaud is a longtime member of the Tri-County Mental Health Services community, bringing with her a successful track record of management and of providing treatment in a mental health setting along with her passionate commitment to the mission, goals and ideals of the agency.
Michaud first joined Tri-County Mental Health Services’ staff in 2008 as a residential service worker. She left the agency to pursue career experiences connected to her work in occupational therapy, which included working with Child Development Services REACH in Falmouth and Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. She returned to Tri-County Mental Health in 2012 and has held positions as an occupational therapist for the agency’s community Housing and Community Rehabilitation Services programs and as team lead for the Community Rehabilitation Team. Most recently, Michaud was the manager of the Residential, Assertive Community Treatment, and Community Rehabilitation Services team.
She earned a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern Maine, Lewiston-Auburn College, and her bachelor of science in biology from Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt.
“Jesi is a talented professional, a successful manager, and most importantly, someone who is devoted to the mission and vision of Tri-County Mental Health Services,” said Ryder. “We are looking forward to realizing the benefits of the many talents that she brings with her to this leadership position.”
