Donations sought for Readfield Union Meeting House lawn sale

READFIELD– The Union Meeting House on Church Road will hold a lawn sale 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, as part of the town’s festival activities.
Proceeds will go toward ongoing restoration work on the Meeting House, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Donations of clean, working items are now being gathered. New this year will be a 50/50 consignment option, in which donors may consign better items they don’t need anymore, but don’t want to just give away.
To arrange for drop off, call Flo Drake at 207-685-4662 or Marianne Perry at 207-685-3531 to arrange drop-off. Help with transport of larger items can be arranged by calling Perry.
Another new feature this year is rental of 10 spaces for crafters, cooks and gardeners to sell their products. The fee is $10 and covers the space only; vendors must supply own table, tent if desired, and must remain to sell their wares.
Call Drake to reserve and pay.
