LEWISTON — Leavitt Area High School commencement exercises were held June 10 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee. Regional School Unit 52 superintendent N. Kimberly Brandt and Leavitt principal Eben Shaw handed out 120 diplomas.

Alexandra Ryan gave the salutatory message, and Madeline Hanscom gave the valedictory speech. Chloe Paige Veilleux and Seth Ramser — two of the academic Top Ten students — represented 32 members of the National Honor Society in giving honor essays. More than 30 senior awards were presented previously at Senior Class Night. Recognition was given in all curricular and extra-curricular areas from math to music and art to athletics to those seniors who have excelled in their pursuits.
The school’s concert band, choir and Hornets in Harmony provided several selections of music including the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance.”
