YA author MacGregor to speak at Rangeley Public Library July 6

RANGELEY — Author Virginia MacGregor will be at the Rangeley Public Library at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, to read from and sign her two newest books, “Wishbones” and “Before I Was Yours.”

“Wishbones” is a young adult novel about a teen who has two wishes: to get her mother healthy again and to win the Junior UK swimming championships.
In “Before I Was Yours,” MacGregor explores the question of how far a family will go for a child who is not their biological child.
MacGregor, who moved from the UK to New Hampshire in 2016, has spent part of the last two summers in Rangeley with her husband, Hugh, and their two daughters Tennessee and Somerset. She has a masters in creative writing from Oxford University and has taught at the college level. She now writes full time.
