RFA’s ‘Yankee Doodle Diva’ caberet-style show opens Feb. 23

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Friends of the Arts’ show “Yankee Doodle DIVA – Bob Hope’s USO Show comes to Rangeley,” a cabaret-style evening of music and dance filled with celebrities and poignant Americana, opens on Friday, Feb. 23.
The show features “celebrities” entertaining the “troops,” including Dean Martin, Nancy Sinatra, Kate Smith, Amy Winehouse, Neil Diamond, Joan Baez, Bette Midler, Lee Greenwood, Whitney Houston and many others, as Bob Hope leads the audience through the years at a USO show.

Veterans and servicemen or women who attend in uniform get a $10 discount at the door. The show is the first live event of the RFA’s 50th Anniversary Year. Shows on Friday, Feb. 23, and Saturday, Feb. 24, are at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday, Feb. 25, matinee is at 2 p.m.
To reserve seats and for more informatin, visit www.rangeleyarts.org or call the box office between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday, Wednesday or Thursday.
Tickets will also be available at the door. There will be a choice of cabaret table seating or theater seating. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for beer, wine and appetizers, which can be enjoyed before and during the show.
