Turner’s Twitchell sisters make the most of family hunting tradition

TURNER — Addison Twitchell made it a three-for-three for the Twitchell girls when the 10-year-old got a spike-horn 120-pound deer on Nov. 14 while hunter with her grandfather, Gard S. Twitchell.

Addie was carrying on a family tradition, and was joined by sisters Ginny, 14, and Daisy, 13, who got their deer in October. All three girls got their deer in Turner this year. It was Addie’s first deer and her first year hunting, said her grandmother, Shirley Twitchell.

The girls, who are the daughters of Jessica and Gard C. Twitchell, are carrying on a family tradition of deer hunting and enjoy going to Grandpa’s hunting camp with their father, grandfather, uncles Jesse and Bart Twitchell, Gary Stevens, and Uncle Roger, Aunt Debi and Clint Gagnon.
