KVCAP offers fall parenting classes in several Kennebec County communities

WATERVILLE –The Kennebec Valley Community Action Program’s Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Council of Kennebec County will offer a variety of parenting programs throughout the fall in Augusta, Waterville, Winslow, Gardiner and Oakland.
Cooperative Parenting and Divorce, an eight-week course, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday from Oct. 10 to Dec. 5, at Cony High School.
Community Nurturing Parenting, a 10-session course, will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesday, beginning Nov. 6 and ending Dec. 6, KVCAP, Water Street, Waterville.

Nurturing Fathers, a 13-session program, will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, beginning Sept. 13 and ending Dec. 6 at Educare in Waterville.
Active Parenting Now, a six-session course, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays, from Oct. 16 to Nov. 20, at Winslow Public Library and 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays from Nov. 6 to Dec. 11 in Gardiner, at a location to be determined.
The First Five Years, a four-class series, from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 26 to Oct. 23, Messalonskee High School, Oakland; 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 29 to Dec. 20, KVCAP, Water Street, Waterville; 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 to Nov. 28, the Webster Center, Augusta.
