Air show and fly in coming July 22 to Rangeley

RANGELEY — Join the fun starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 22, for the 2nd annual Rangeley Lakes Fly In & Air Show at the Steven A. Bean Municipal Airport in Rangeley (8B0). This is going to be an amazing event that will draw crowds from all areas of New England. We will have a fly in for pilots, with the airplanes on display for spectators.

Local pilots will provide the spectators with a fly over with both land and float planes. Static displays will consist of airplanes, helicopters and antique automobiles. Attending the static display will be the United States Border Patrol, the Navy Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron, and Maine Forest Service.

Dan Marcotte from Marcotte Air Shows will wow you with an aerobatic performance and a race down the runway in his Jet Car. Adding to the excitement will be Trevor Rafferty who will shows us awesome moves as he maneuvers his plane through the beautiful Rangeley sky.

Acadian Air will be providing plane rides throughout the day. Vendors include aviation, arts and crafts, furniture, food from Bald Mountain Camps, and motorized sporting equipment. “Joe Joe and the Bros,” a group of local musicians will perform live music throughout the day.

Rangeley Lakes Seaplane Base (M57) is located on Rangeley Lake and transportation will be available to the Air Show. Ticket prices are $10 per person and $30 family max. It will be a day full of fun!
