Shrimp Scampi Pasta

Serve this popular Italian dish for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS:
6 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. oil
4 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 onion, diced
1 lb. shrimp
2 lemons, halved
1/2 C. white wine
Pinch red pepper flakes
1 Tbsp. Old Bay season
Salt & pepper
8 oz. angel hair pasta
1/2 C. Parmesan cheese
Fresh parsley for garnish
Lemon wedges for garnish

DIRECTIONS
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve a cup or two of pasta water. Drain pasta. Sprinkle with oil. Keep warm.

Melt butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and onions; saute 2-3 minutes. Add shrimp, stirring a few minutes. Add Old Bay to taste. Squeeze lemon juice on top, add wine, pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Stir and reduce to low heat.

Remove skillet from heat. Add pasta and toss, adding a splash of pasta water if needed to thin the sauce. Taste test. Top with Parmesan and parsley. Serve hot with garlic bread and fresh salad.

Note: Heavy cream can be added to make a thicker, creamier sauce, if desired.
